According to the statistics released by the Taiwan Ministry of Finance, in February this year Taiwan's export value of iron and steel and articles made from iron and steel amounted to $1.1 billion, decreasing by 20.9 percent compared to the same month of 2012 and down 27.35 percent month on month.
In the first two months of this year, Taiwan's export value of iron and steel and articles made from iron and steel decreased by eight percent from the same period last year, amounting to $2.7 billion. Meanwhile, in the first two months of 2013 Taiwan's import value for the products in question increased by one percent compared to the same period of last year to $1.97 billion.
