Fluid storage, carrying and delivery technology provider TI Automotive has opened a new fuel tank systems production facility located at Chennai, India.
The new facility, which is built on an area of 73,000ft2, will produce fuel tank systems for Nissan vehicles built in India.
Apart from the new fuel tank production facility, TI Automotive also have other manufacturing plants in Bangalore, Baroda, Chennai and Manesar that produce fluid carrying systems.
TI Automotive's plastic fuel tanks will help automakers meet new fuel economy demands by reducing weight and emissions while optimising packaging.
The company has also recently introduced the plastic fuel tanks designed for hybrid vehicles.
