The Brazilian steel mills including Usiminas, Companhia Siderurgica Nacional (CSN) and ArcelorMittal have planned to raise the prices for flat-rolled steel products by 6%~7.5% averagely.

It’s said that Usiminas hiked prices by 6%~6.6%. CSN and ArcelorMittal increased prices by 7%~7.5%.

Industry sources said that the price rise is to reflect increased steel prices in the international market and low domestic premium of 4%-5% over imports.
